The MAAX program is a classroom-based social development program designed to INSPIRE and MOTIVATE middle and high school students to SUCCEED in developing their academic potential and defining their educational goals.
Through an array of more than 40 engaging activities and lessons, students explore a variety of topics that: a) enhance academic performance, b) foster positive peer relationships and c) increase awareness of college and career options. The MAAX has been implemented in more than 30 schools and delivered to more than 25,000 students since the program’s inception in 2000. Our research and evaluation efforts have demonstrated evidence that the MAAX program is effective in increasing students’ knowledge and awareness about the college planning process, academic performance and educational aspirations.
